POST SCRIPT TO MY PREVIOUS POST:
I was amazed at a recent article entitled: “Are Self-Published Authors Really Authors Or Even Published?”
I hate to dignify such a question by answering, but I will for the sake of any who are confused by it. I will begin with a definition provided by a friend who owns a book store:
“A Smashword book with an ISBN Number that has been accepted into Smashwords Premium Catalogue sells to brick and mortar book stores as well as popular on-line book stores. This would certainly be more than enough to qualify any book as a “real” book, and one written by a “real” author, that would be “really” published. Authors who publish through Smashwords have books available all over the world through Apple, Kobo, Diesel, Barnes and Nobel and many others.

Rule number on in society, or the fabric begins collapse … you aren’t supposed to like yourself, it’s wrong and it’s bad and probably a sin. Other people have to ‘like’ you (who DO you think you are?!). It comes from an old working class saying, ‘self praise is no recommendation’ … DO NOT DARE TO LIKE YOURSELF!
Me, I’m a great, excellent, entertaining self publishing author, a Pentertainer, who wouldn’t have a publishing company messing with my stuff and ruining it if they paid me a gold pig.

LOL. That’s brilliant!I believe publishers are insulting the intelligence of the reader. The only books that get published are those that make the pie-chart. It has little to do with ability. I found out… eventually… that agents wouldn’t touch me because I was a non-conformists, and well, that’s just not allowed.
